The impact was measured as the change between the current processes for port clearances (including MARPOL Ship's Waste related processes) and the N-MAP blockchain enabled processes.

2020 official data was used from the ports for the volume of ships arriving at the ports of Barcelona and Tenerife.
The Navozyme team mapped the current processes in detail over several months with the close collaboration and support from our partners in this Port Clearance Pilot (PCP) initiative.
Environmental impact estimates were made using the Environmental Paper Network Paper Calculator Version 4.0 based on the GHG & Energy calculation methodology:
